Our 2024 Lash Trend Predictions!
As we step into 2024, the lash industry, like any other, continues to evolve and bring forth exciting trends that promise to redefine beauty standards. Of course, there hasn’t been a new lash trend that’s emerged as of yet, but we are excited to present our predictions for the new year's hottest trends! So, if you want to stay ahead of the curve and offer your clients the very best, or you’re simply curious, here are our 2024 lash trend predictions!
Wispy Lashes
No surprise here, as wispy lash extensions have been one of the most highly requested styles by clients for a long time now, and we don’t see that changing anytime soon! Wispy lash extensions have taken the beauty world by storm, and we can predict that their popularity is only set to soar even higher in 2024. These lashes, known for their feather-like and delicate appearance, create a natural yet captivating look. As a Lash Technician, you may have noticed an increase in clients requesting lash styles with a highly textured lash line, whether it be for a Hybrid or Volume wispy lash set. Wispy lashes are gorgeous, and offer a versatile look that suits a wide range of clients, from those seeking a subtle enhancement, to those desiring a more dramatic effect.

Angel Lashes
Angel lash extensions are the epitome of elegance and sophistication, as the name suggests. You may have seen Angel lash sets popping up on your social media for a while now as they began to rise in popularity in the Spring of 2023. Angel lashes are actually a variation of a Wet Set lashes, as you use much smaller, closed lash fans and mix them with light and wispy Classic lashes, resulting in a heavenly angelic look. If you haven’t already, incorporating Angel lashes into your treatment list will not only attract clients looking for something unique, but also showcase your skills in creating bespoke lash styles.

Half Lashes
Half Lash extensions are a trend that's rapidly gaining traction. Yes, they were popular in 2023, but with the rise in demand for more natural looking lashes styles, we can only expect them to skyrocket in 2024. Half Lash extensions are ideal for clients who prefer a more understated look, or those new to eyelash extensions, as these lashes focus on enhancing the outer corners of the eyes. To achieve this look, you’ll apply your shorter lengths of lash extensions from the middle portion of the eye to blend in with the natural lashes, and then gradually increase in length towards the outer corner. This results in a subtle lift and an elongated, natural Cat-Eye effect that's timeless. As a Lash Technician, suggesting Half Lashes to clients who are hesitant about full sets can actually be a great way to introduce them to the world of lash extensions.

Wet Set Lashes
Let’s be honest, we’re all fans of an eye catching spiky finish, and Wet Set lashes offer just that! This is not by any means a new trend, but since gaining popularity in 2020, this lash look hasn’t taken a breath it’s been that sought after! This trend, characterized by its glossy, spiky appearance, mimics the look of wet lashes as the name suggests. In the past, a super even top line was standard, but now, most clients desire a textured and wispy appearance, despite Wet lashes once breaking the rules.
Wet Look lashes are achieved by using Volume lash extensions to create closed fans, but a similar effect can also be created by using Flat lashes if you wanted to create a Classic of Hybrid look. It's a unique style that stands out and is perfect for clients who love to be at the forefront of beauty trends. Mastering this technique will set you apart and cater to a niche client base seeking something different from the traditional lash styles.

Brown Lashes
As we’ve previously mentioned, we’re predicting that more natural looking lash sets are going to IN this year, and brown-colored lash extensions are the perfect solution. Brown lash extensions are a game-changer for clients who prefer a subtle enhancement for a more natural look. Not to mention, brown lashes offer a softer alternative to regular black-colored lashes, making them ideal for fair-skinned clients. As a Lash Tech, offering brown lashes can broaden your clientele, appealing to those who are looking for a natural yet noticeable improvement in their lash game.

Lash Lifts
Something that we’ve also noticed when making our predictions for the potential lash trends of 2024, is that lash lifts are emerging as a standout favorite for sure! This technique, known for its ability to enhance and uplift your client’s natural eyelashes, is gaining popularity for its simplicity - it’s really giving ‘clean girl aesthetic’. We predict that lash lifts will not only continue to be a sought-after service, but clients will also start to seek out innovative techniques and products, like Inlei’s Brow Bomber treatments. This year, expect to see a surge in customizable lash lift treatments that cater to a diverse range of client preferences, from subtle lifts to more dramatic curls. As always, our focus remains on delivering gorgeous lash extension looks, but we couldn’t skip this one!
More 2024 Predictions
Pretreatment is IN!: We believe that clients will start clocking on that pretreatment is actually important! We get it, it can be an easy step to skip, but if you went to a nail salon you’d be pretty surprised if your Nail Tech didn’t prep your nails and simply stuck a nail tip on! Lash Aftercare: As the years go on, and we move further away from the outdated advice that is “you can’t wash your lashes, they’ll fall out!”, we can predict that more and more clients will begin practicing a proper lash aftercare routine, thank goodness! We can attribute this to the aesthetic ‘clean look’ that is trending, where people are now focusing more on their skincare routine, than they are on their makeup routine. We don’t think lashes will be left out of this trend either!
A ‘True Full Set of Lashes’: Although a natural look is on the rise, we’re hoping to see more bottom lashes this year! Manga lash sets were super popular in 2023, and bottom lashes really are the perfect finishing touch for many of these spiky lash sets. So why not go all out and create a truly FULL set of lashes?
Professionalism is on Top: Of course, professionalism has always been ‘in’, how else are you going to retain clients? What we mean is that this year your lash studio’s appearance will really count. Lash Techs are upping their game and attracting new clients with their aesthetically pleasing lash setups - this includes staying organized, having an attractive color scheme, and just overall professional clean vibes all around.
