  • Nouveau Lashes – Frequently Asked Questions

As the official US distributor of Nouveau Lashes, we’re here to answer your most frequently asked questions about their award-winning lash treatments and products. Whether you’re new to Nouveau or a long-time fan, here’s everything you need to know.

    General Questions

Where can I get a Nouveau Lashes treatment done in the US?

Nouveau Lashes treatments are available globally through a network of certified lash professionals. To ensure you’re receiving an official treatment, we recommend booking with a trained Nouveau Lashes technician. Please note, we do not currently offer a salon finder for the US, so we suggest contacting your local technician directly to confirm their certification.

Are Nouveau Lashes products cruelty-free and vegan?

Yes! Nouveau Lashes is proudly cruelty-free. Most of their products and treatments are also vegan and many are registered with The Vegan Society. Check the product details or reach out to us if you’re looking for vegan options.

Is LVL exclusive to Nouveau Lashes?

Yes, LVL (Length, Volume, Lift) was developed exclusively by Nouveau Lashes. Always ensure your technician is officially trained in LVL and using genuine Nouveau Lashes products for the best and safest results.

    Treatment Prep

How should I prepare for my Nouveau Lashes treatment?

Before your first treatment, we recommend booking a consultation with your lash technician to discuss your goals and assess suitability. If you’re planning an LVL treatment, you’ll also need a patch test at least 48 hours beforehand to check for sensitivities to the products used.

Can I wear contact lenses during the treatment?

All Nouveau Lashes treatments are suitable for contact lens wearers, though we recommend removing your lenses beforehand for comfort.

Can I get a lash treatment if I’m pregnant?

Due to hormonal changes during pregnancy, Nouveau Lashes recommends avoiding LVL treatments while expecting.

    During & After the Treatment

Will the treatment damage my natural lashes?

Not at all, when applied by a properly trained professional and with good aftercare, Nouveau Lashes treatments will not harm your natural lashes. Remember, your lashes naturally shed every 90 days, so some lash loss is completely normal.

    Are the treatments painful?

Most clients find Nouveau Lashes LVL treatments very relaxing! You’ll simply lie back and close your eyes.

What’s the difference between LVL and a lash perm?

A traditional lash perm curls lashes along their length, whereas LVL lifts them from the root for a more dramatic effect. LVL also typically includes a lash tint, however, tinting is not available in the US due to regulations.

    Aftercare

Can I wear makeup after my treatment?

Yes! But avoid applying makeup to the eye area for the first 24 hours to let the treatment settle

Can I go swimming after my treatment?

You’ll need to avoid water for the first 24 hours after LVL. After that, swimming is fine, just be mindful of overexposure to chlorine and saltwater, as they can reduce retention.

What should I do if I have an allergic reaction?

Signs of a reaction include redness, swelling, itching, or burning. If you think you’re reacting to a treatment, contact your technician immediately. If symptoms are severe, seek medical attention. Always complete a patch test 48 hours prior to your treatment to minimize risk.
