Go Big and Bold or Light and Wispy—Here’s What You Need for Hybrid Lashes!

    What are Hybrid Lashes?

In simple terms, hybrid lashes combine Classic Eyelash Extensions and Volume Eyelashes. Generally, a hybrid lash set is about a 50/50 mix of classic lash extensions and volume fans. However, you can customize the application based on the look your client wants and their natural lashes.

Want to dive deeper into hybrid eyelash extensions before figuring out the best products to add to your eyelash extension kit? Check out these blog posts:

    - 3 Ways to Style and Apply Hybrid Lashes

    Choosing Your Lashes

There are many ways to apply hybrid lashes. Let’s break it down simply. Start with 0.15 classic lashes and 0.07 volume lashes to make fans up to 5D. For a lighter look, use 0.10 lashes for both your classic lashes and 2D fans. For a bolder look, go with 0.05 lashes in fans up to 9D and 0.20 flat lashes.

DID YOU KNOW: Flat lashes are made by fusing two finer lashes together. They look thicker but weigh about half as much, so you can create bold looks without damaging your client’s natural lashes!

    Picking the Right Glue

If you already have a favorite eyelash glue, you can use it for hybrid lashes. Keep in mind that if you’re new to volume lashes, placing them might take longer than classic lashes. Consider using a slower-curing adhesive for volume lashes or adjust your humidity levels: increase for classic lashes and decrease for volume fans.

If you need help with picking the best lash glue for you, check out our handy eyelash glue guide! This guide will show you which lash adhesive is best for your work space’s temperature and humidity, and your lashing speed.

Top Tip: Apply your classic lashes first, then use tape to hold them back while you apply volume fans. This helps with full coverage and prevents lash extensions from sticking together. If you need help getting the inner and outer corner lashes, use eyelid tape!

    Tweezers Selection

You probably already have eyelash tweezers you love for classic and volume lashes, but in case you don’t yet, check out our classic lash tweezers and volume lash tweezers. Investing in multifunctional tweezers can also be great—they’re perfect for classic lashes, quick 2D fans, easy fan lashes, premade fans, or very short lashes, thanks to their fine tips.
