If you’re diving into volume eyelashes, you might feel overwhelmed by the sheer variety of lash types available. One way to ease into it is by getting an eyelash extension kit, which has everything you need to start. But if you prefer picking your own products, we’ve got you covered with a list of essentials to kick off your volume lash journey!
Choosing the Right Tweezers
Before we talk lashes, it’s crucial to pick eyelash tweezers designed specifically for volume lashes. These tweezers are sturdier and better suited for handling finer lash extensions. Each pair of our volume tweezers is hand-tested by our in-house Lash Masters to ensure the best grip on fans of all sizes and using various fanning techniques. Depending on your preference and the size of fans you’re working with, you have several options. We also offer fiber grip tweezers, which provide even better grip than standard ones.
Selecting Your Lashes
With so many lash extension styles, it can get confusing knowing which lash extensions to choose. For beginners, the best thickness to start with is 0.07, which is perfect for volume fans up to 5D. If you’ve used London Lash Eyelash Extensions before, you might already have a favorite collection and length! New to London Lash? Grab a couple of mixed length trays to practice fanning and apply a few sets before committing to single length trays. The most popular curls are C and CC, but as you get more skilled, you might want to explore unique curls like M or L curls for specific lash extension styles like cat eye lashes!
Picking the Right Glue
The best lash glue for you depends on various factors. If you’re transitioning from Classic Eyelash Extensions to Volume Eyelashes, you likely already know what works for you. With volume, your placement speed is likely to decrease when you’re just getting started, so consider a lash glue that dries a little bit more gradually to match your speed.
Other Essentials
Just like with Classic Lashes, you’ll need a lash extension remover. Even with more experience, it’s best to use Cream Remover for full sets, as it stays in place and is easy to see if any residue remains.
Top Tip! Always have a good supply of lash extension tape to hand to not only help you tape back lashes, but also to pull up the eyelids to better see those inner and outer corners!
Consider grabbing a curated lash extensions kit that provides you with a selection of quality lash supplies you will need to complete a few sets of a few lash maps and find what you like best! Pick your volume lash extension kit here.
