Our Guide to Buying Perishables

Black Friday is upon us, and with London Lash offering massive savings on eyelash extension supplies, it only seems logical to grab PLENTY of your staple items, right? Well, kind of.

The reality is that every liquid product, whether it's Lash Glue, Glue Remover, Cleanser, Primer, Booster, or Superbonder, comes with an expiration date. After this date, the product simply won’t perform as you expect. This might mean your Booster won’t effectively open the hair cuticles as it should, a remover becomes congealed and unworkable, or, in a worst-case scenario, your glue dries inside the bottle.

To assist you, we thought now would be a good time to offer some advice on how much use you’ll get out of each product, and how many liquid products it’s worth buying if you want to fully utilize the Black Friday deals while getting optimal performance.

London Lash glue range for eyelash extensions

Eyelash Extension Glue

This is the major one as lash glue is deeply discounted for Black Friday (and yes, it’s FRESH), so we often see Lash Techs snagging 10 bottles at once. In those instances, we typically reach out to them to ensure they’re able to use all of those bottles within a 6-month timeframe. Because, inevitably, by May of the next year, we receive messages from Lash Techs stating that the glue they purchased on Black Friday isn't performing to its expected standard- this is simply because it doesn’t outlast its shelf life.

You, better than anyone, know how much eyelash extension glue you can realistically use in 6 months - and honestly, we’d suggest purchasing as much as you can use within 4 months, just to play it safe.

Shelf life unopened: 6 months

Shelf life from opening: 2 months (If you're opening the bottle frequently, keep in mind that the glue will be exposed to air more often. If you're lashing all day every day, it's definitely worth switching to a new bottle every 4-6 weeks to ensure excellent retention!)
