The Differences Between Promade & Premade Fans

At its core, the distinction between premade and promade fans is minimal. Both are essentially Volume fans crafted by someone else for your use. Yet, there are minor variations that some producers and vendors highlight, leading to a slight difference in terminology.

Difference 1: The Base

Promade Volume Fans typically have a more slender base compared to Premade Fans. Historically, premade fans were designed with the fan stem/leg positioned on the strip, leading to broader, flatter bases. However, our latest Premade lash fans boast extremely slim, stacked bases. Some vendors utilize the term 'promade' to differentiate between the two styles.

Difference 2: The Width

Premade fans have traditionally been slightly narrower, whereas 'promades' tend to be a tad broader. While this can be attributed in part to the base's shape, it's primarily a result of industry advancements based on feedback from Lash Technicians.

Difference 3: The Attachment

This difference also stems from the fan base's shape. Instead of being affixed to the strip at the base's bottom, they're connected by the fan's body, with the slender base angled upwards. When using them, you'll first need to grasp them by the base with your lash tweezers, then place them back down, and finally pick them up again comfortably by the body. While this may seem tedious, it's still quicker than crafting a fan manually.

Premade or Promade: What's in a Name?

Why do we refer to them as Premade rather than Promade? It's simply to streamline the search process for Lash Technicians. You might observe that in our product descriptions, social media content, and even blog posts, we occasionally use the terms 'premade fans' and 'promade fans' interchangeably. This approach ensures that newer Lash Technicians, more acquainted with the term 'promade', can effortlessly locate what they require.
